EYES

This piece was made on a big horizontal canvas. I first took a picture of my friends eyes and then I did a pencil sketch on the canvas and then with acrylics I build up the skin colour and details.
This is one of my favourites art pieces because the focus is on the eyes. I like the pallet colour I used from browns to the light skin tones.

The struggle

This piece I recreated from one of my photoshoots from my personal investigation for my A level photography in year 12.
I painted this on a carboard canvas.
The starting point of this paint was that I will try not to make all the lines in detail and play around with the different colours and make my friend's facial expression the focus of the painting.

city view painting

This piece was created by using acrylics and a small 10-15 cm canvas. This picture was taken in my home town in Romania, Constanta.
I wanted to paint this so much as it is such a expressive picture. I love day to day photography and painting them as well.
Down bellow there is my own picture which I took with my camera and the process of the painting to get to the finish project.
unfinished piece

This piece was a project which I started at Reading University. This project was to choose one of the given tasks. I choose the task which was to take pictures of covering with scarfs to hide identity and what people see first. I took those pictures of my sister. There are displayed lower and I wanted to take this further and create a interesting piece with it.
I took a big canvas 30-40cm and painted the background blue as a base colour and then painted the face and because my picture has a lot of detail i choose to change the colour of the scarfs and either paint the most colour it showed on them or a similar colour to contrast the painting.
This piece is unfinished as I want to add some text to show the hidden identity behind but at the moment I am researching on ideas and how to do that without sending the wrong idea.
